Creating and Editing Pages

For ease of navigation, pages for several courses have been created. If you need to create a new page, link it to the relevant course page. For more about creating and editing pages, see the Wikispaces Help page.

Printing Pages

If you want to print pages, there are two ways:
  1. Click on "Page" at the top of a page and a drop-down menu will appear. One of the menu options is "Print."
  2. If you want to print a lot of pages, this method might be more convenient:
    • Click "Manage Space"
    • Click "List Pages"
    • Click "print" next to the page you want to print to bring up a printable view of the page
    • Use your web browser's print function to print the page
    • Note: I have had better luck with this in Internet Explorer than in Firefox.

Following Conversations

One handy way to keep up with pages you're watching is the subscribe the RSS feed provided by the page. Here is a description of how to subscribe to RSS feeds. Alternatively, you can click on the link that says "Recent Changes," which will give you a list of all the pages that have recently been changed. If you click on the Discussion tab in this view, you can also see all the recent discussions. For more information, read Wikispaces's Notify Me, where you can learn how to subscribe to this wiki using e-mail or RSS.

Tagging

Tagging is a handy method for making sharing your content with others who are looking for it. When you create a page, you have the option to create one or more tags to identify the page. Some tags to consider include the course or strand (e.g. grammar, literature), topic (e.g. Romeo and Juliet). After you save a page, look at the top. You will see a section enabling you to create tags. You can tag other users' pages, too, if you believe the tags will help others find information.
